Activity 1: which sport did you pick
i chose boxing for my sport i love to box with my brothers and sisters and box the boxing bag.i makes you tougher and everything you do wrong in boxing you get better at it after learning about your mistakes.it wouldn't be that hard boxing other people . would it? i love to box and it would be fun to show someone what you got

Activity 2: Facts about milo of croton
1.Milo of Croton was a 6th-century BC wrestler from the Magna Graecian city of Croton, who enjoyed a brilliant wrestling career and won many victories in the most important athletic festivals of ancient Greece.

2. Milo was said to be a friend of Pythagoras. One story says the wrestler saved the philosopher's life when a roof was about to fall on him. Another story says that Milo may have married the philosopher's daughter. Like other successful athletes of ancient Greece, Milo was the subject of tales of strength and power. Among other tales, he was said to have carried a bull on his shoulders and to have burst a band about his forehead by inflating the veins of his temples.

3.The date of Milo's death is unknown. He was said to be splitting a tree in half when his hands became trapped in the tree. It was then that a pack of wolves surprised, killed, and ate him.

Bonus: No girls rule good or bad rule
Bad rule cause someone ever could make a world record for  first women to beat all men games
you never know what we are capable of
these girls below could one day make a difference for the things today

  1. Hi Anahere,

Wow, you are a star! I can't believe how many activities you have already completed as part of the Winter Learning Journey programme. It's awesome.

I really enjoyed reading your posts for the 'Once Upon a Time in Olympia' activities. I think that it's very cool that you chose boxing as your sport. It's certainly one of the more dangerous options but I am positive that you could handle it! Have you ever boxed in real life? I have never taken lessons but I have watched some bouts on television. I am a huge fan of Muhammad Ali and used to watch footage of his fights.

I also really like it that you posted such interesting facts about Milo of Croton and gave us your opinion about the 'No Girls Allowed' rule. I agree with you that it isn't fair and that all women should have the same opportunities to compete as the men. I think that women can do anything that they set their minds to and that they shouldn't be limited by rules like these. Thank goodness we live in the current day and not back in the ancient Olympic era!

    Cheers, Rachel :)
