Maths

Walt: in rm 4 maths we have been learning how to use decimals and tenths and how to subtract and add them here are some now
WALT add and subtract numbers involving decimals
Make sure you show how you worked it out! Using brackets ( ) to expand numbers out

  1. 3.4 + 6.7 = 10.1
(3 + 6 = 9)+ (0.4 +0.7 = 1.1)

  1. 12.8 + 9 = 21.8
(12 + 9 = 21) + ( 0.8+0.0 = 0.8 )

  1. 23.2 + 38.5 = 61.7
(23 + 38 = 61) + (0.2 + 0.5 =0.7)

  1. 10 + 0.7 = 10.7
(10 + 0 = 10 ) +( 0.7 + 0.0 = 0.7)

  1. 47.5 + 61.8 =109.3
(47 + 61 = 108) + (0.5 +0.8 = 1.3)

  1. 18 + 4.8 =22.8

  1. 33.5 + 7.6 = 41.1

SUBTRACTION!!!!!

  1. 8.3 - 6.6 = 2.3

Tenths

Walt: Recognise tenths

Our learning intention is to recognise the tenths, we have to use decimals at the same time. We also had to write down the decimal and fraction point to show what we are doing. It was a hard work that we had to do. We needed to use our thinking skills to know what we're doing and talking about. It was a lot of work to do, we had to use as much of our thinking to go through the slides.

Key competency - Manageing self

Today our class is focusing on our Key Competencies. Our aim was to stay on task and see how much progress we make for reading and writing in one morning block. This should set the standard for how much work we complete each time we have literacy.

Our two learning intentions were:
